Bodegas Francisco Gomez Fruto Noble Roble 2012Red Wine, Spain
Grape: 50% Monastrell, 50% Syrah.
Ageing: 4 months in new American oak barrels
Alcohol by Volume: 13.5%
Temperature of Service: 12ºC
Colour: Deep, black cherry colour with bright purple glints.
Aroma: On the nose the wine displays typical ripe fruit Monastrell aromas mingled with the floral notes of the Syrah, some spice with a sweet vanilla finish.
Taste: Packed with intense fruit flavour, the palate is mouth-filling, soft, fleshy and long followed by a lovely finish that is succulent and fresh at the same time.
Food matching: This is actually a great wine on its own but also goes with red meats, Beef stew and soft cheeses.
Other notes: Organic red wine, produced from very old un-grafted vines in non-irrigated plots of the Monastrell (the king grape of our Mediterranean homeland) and Syrah varieties.
Awards: 2012 – Gold “Selections Mondiales des Vins-Canada 2013″
